“Jazz Night at the Curtiss” Preview Night featuring Saranaide

The Curtiss Hotel in Downtown Buffalo has become one of the city’s premium and iconic hotels.  Enjoyed by residents of the city, the region, and out-of-state travelers.  The Curtiss Hotel Rooftop and Lounge has become a destination for people seeking a patio lounge atmosphere, cocktail drinks and foods, and spectacular views.  From the Curtiss Hotel Rooftop, you can enjoy a cocktail drink and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of downtown Buffalo, Lake Erie, and the Canadian shoreline.

In 2022, JazzBuffalo and the Curtiss Hotel will partner to host Jazz Night at the Curtiss Rooftop.  Hosted on two Thursdays per month, we will offer high-quality entertaining jazz you’ve come to expect from JazzBuffalo.  On this date, we hold a Preview Night for the forthcoming Jazz Nights at the Curtiss.

Helping us with Preview Night will be one of the region’s rising stars, Saranaide. She’ll be joined by longtime jazz guitarist Stu Weissman.

Saranaide is an accomplished vocalist, songwriter, and musician based out of Buffalo, NY.  With parents from Panama and Puerto Rico, Saranaide has dipped into her DNA to embrace and celebrate the pulses and sounds of Latin America; exploding on the Buffalo Jazz Scene with new vigor.  Inspired by the legends of soul and jazz riding on the rhythms of the world, Saranaide’s unique sound is sweet honey dripping over a spicy stew.  She has performed in memorable JazzBuffalo performances at the Hotel Henry, MusicalFare, Jazz at Chandlerville, and Jazz on the Plaz!

On this night, Saranaide will surely give us a mix of Brazilian and holiday jazz!
