JazzBuffalo Livestream: The DUO+ JazzBrunch Sundays
Sunday, May 10, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Many thanks, Donny Frauenhofer Music / Ellen Pieroni Music and The Duo+ for providing very uplifting weekly live stream performances of jazz music to our community. As they take a pause in live streaming, all, please join me in thanking these super people, including Sean McNamara Music, for heeding a call to step up and do something good for the community in times of hardship and crises. And, good they did do! A shining example of community leading and action. Many thanks, Donny Frauenhofer and Ellen Pieroni for the fantastic Thursday and Sunday live streams!
Watch The DUO+ featuring Donny Frauenhofer, Ellen Pieroni, and special guest Sean McNamara perform duo jazz via live stream (Facebook Live) right here on JazzBuffalo. The DUO+ brings back JazzBrunch Sundays! JazzBuffalo had two Sunday brunches going until the recent public health crisis – so now we’re doing it in a different way!
We will post the link shortly before the start of the live performance on Facebook and JazzBuffalo.
You can also support Donny and Ellen and Sean of the Duo+ via these links to donate any small amount you can to their efforts.

The Duo+ is an instrumental jazz group that earns its name from the foundation of piano and saxophone. Often performing simply as a duo, the group also exhibits the freedom to be joined by additional musicians, or even a full band.
The Duo+ features two of Buffalo, NY’s most aspiring young talents, each from their own separate successes. Pianist Donny Frauenhofer is a nationally touring musician, soloist, composer, arranger, and accompanist. He currently plays an integral roll in jazz-funk fusion quartet Intrepid Travelers and THE TRUTH. Saxophonist Ellen Pieroni was recently named the 2015 “Rising Star Jazz Artist” in the second annual JazzBuffalo Readers and Fan Poll. Often recognized for her soulful tone, she hails from nationally touring folk-rock gypsy band Folkfaces, and can also be caught with THE TRUTH as well.
Together, the two front a jazz collective that reflects a musical maturity past their years and pushes the conversational nature of improvisation further into a deep and more personal level. Bringing a large repertoire of modernized standards, original music, and re-imagined classics, The Duo+ creates music that captures the risk-taking spirit and freedom of modern music balanced with old school discipline.
