Kristen Smigielski Quintet at the East Aurora Street Festival

The Kristen Smigielski Quintet will be performing your favorite Jazz tunes at the East Aurora Street Festival! Come see us at Taste!

The East Aurora Street Festival and Sidewalk Sale is a wonderful shopping experience featuring craft, food and store vendors. On the street demonstrations, entertainment including the Chalk Walk and Operation Kids, an event where children learn to run their own business. The event takes place on Main St between Riley & Olean Roads in East Aurora, NY.

Kristen Smigielski is a vocalist currently based in Buffalo, NY. She sings a diverse range of music, from Jazz and Pop, to Classical and Contemporary. Kristen performs at many events, venues, and festivals across New York State, including Buffalo Iron Works, Nietzsche’s, Merge, Hallwalls, Soundlab, Carnegie Art Center, the Burchfield Penney Art Gallery, the Cass Project, Syracuse University, The Egg in Albany, and many more. In addition, her combo has played during the East Aurora Music Fest, Music on Main, Allentown First Fridays, and the East Aurora Street Festival. She completed her Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University at Buffalo, having received both the Baird and Opera Scholarships. Additionally, she studied choir conducting, and received a scholarship to attend the Harold Rosenbaum International Choir Conducting Institute. She has taught voice and piano privately for years, and was also a Teaching Assistant in voice with the Music Department at Buffalo State College. She is a member of the JazzBuffalo Advisory Council, and currently performs in many local bands, as well as her own Jazz combo.
