Saturday, June 2, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$40
The Pappy Martin Legacy Jazz Collective will present one of the top jazz trumpeters today in the international jazz world, Sean Jones.  The highly regarded trumpeter, composer, and arranger will appear in the collective’s second annual Celestial Jazz Series.
The series mission is to present national artists in a church setting.  The collective will partner with the Central Park United Methodist Church to bring the spiritual offerings of jazz, in its highest form, into the sacred majesty of the church.

This concert features internationally acclaimed jazz trumpeter, SEAN JONES, who has played with Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Miller, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Nancy Wilson and Dianne Reeves, among others. He will share the stage with the world renowned Curtis Lundy Legacy band.

This is the second in the Celestial Jazz Series produced by the Pappy Martin Legacy Jazz Collective in showcasing the highest level of jazz musicianship and celebrating the cultural, historical and spiritual significance of jazz as an original American art form.

In May 2017, the series was launched with a magnificent concert by the highly regarded saxophonist, Bobby Watson, who performed original music from his CD entitled, Made in America. The concert received rave reviews!

The upcoming concert on June 2, 2018, represents an inaugural partnership with Central Park United Methodist Church… and is sure to be a “not to be missed” event.  More information is now available on the Celestial Jazz website.
