The Sarah De Vallière Band (SDV Band), from Rochester, is thrilled to make their Buffalo debut at PAUSA. Sarah De Vallière’s voice ranges from sweet and ethereal to soulful and powerful. Her dynamic and skillful piano playing, combined with an arsenal of emotionally resonant songs, will take you on a journey that evokes both laughter and tears. For the past several years, Sarah has collaborated with a stellar group of musicians, each bringing their unique talents to the music. Their seamless transitions between diverse soundscapes showcase the incredible range of each player. Mark Balestra is a guitar player who does it all; supports the song, plays endlessly tasty licks and delivers explosive solos when given the spotlight. Brad Johnson adds funk and depth with his bass playing, taking the music into a deeper groove with memorable and hard hitting bass lines. Emmett Ientelucci takes precision to the next level, playing the drum kit with carefully crafted rhythms while letting loose and unleashing unexpected grooves when the time is right.

Special guest, Bill Tiberio, brings everything to the table with his sax playing. Expression, warmth, soul and funk, make every show he’s on extra special. A recent Rochester Music Hall of Fame inductee and Eastman school’s Centennial award recipient, Bill is not only a highly accomplished performer, but also a band leader and instrumental music educator and conductor. His own project, the Bill Tiberio Band has 4 records under their belt and are a critical part of the Rochester Music Scene. The SDV Band is incredibly excited and honored to have him join their Buffalo debut.

With a degree in film scoring from Berklee College of Music (’11), Sarah De Vallière crafts lush soundscapes for her songs, which explore the complexities of the human experience. A natural storyteller, her carefully crafted lyrics and catchy, moving melodies create undeniably unique and impactful songs. Her critically acclaimed 2019 release, “Dreams On Hold” (described by CITY Newspaper as “an enthralling Americana storybook”), established her as a significant voice in modern singer-songwriter music, earning comparisons to artists like Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin, and Tori Amos. Her latest album, “The Healing,” is an even more expansive and ambitious project, showcasing her diverse musical background, technical expertise and visceral vulnerability. Featuring noted musicians Damon Grant (Mary J. Blige, Eric Hutchinson), Alex Cotè (Mikaela Davis), Kurt G. Johnson (Maybird, Mikaela Davis, Moho Collective), and members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, “The Healing” was praised by Ground Control Magazine as “one of the most beautiful albums heard in a long time.” Her songs have received radio play across America and beyond.
