The Bill Charlap Trio at Art of Jazz Series

One of the world’s premier jazz pianists and a master of the Great American Songbook, Bill Charlap has performed and recorded with many of the leading artists of our time, ranging from jazz masters Gerry Mulligan, Phil Woods, and Wynton Marsalis, to singers Barbra Streisand and Tony Bennett. He shared a Grammy award with Bennett for their recent duo album The Silver Lining. Since 1997 he has led the Bill Charlap Trio with bassist Peter Washington and drummer Kenny Washington. The group is now universally acclaimed as “one of the best piano trios ever.” (The Guardian).
