The Dave Hill Group: “West Coast Jazz” On The Plaz!

Dave Hill has been an active professional guitarist in Los Angeles music since 1985, playing countless recording sessions and gigs. He has played with contemporary jazz great Gregg Karukas, who guested on his 2004 CD “Two Seasons”, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Max Bennett of the LA Express, as well as a world tour with legendary British singer Englebert Humperdinck. He has published music instructional books through Hal Leonard and released 2 CDs of his original contemporary jazz. His 2010 CD, “New World” included the legendary Los Angeles Jazz group, The Yellowjackets. He performed in the southern California area with the “Dave Hill Group” appearing at many of the best jazz clubs and festivals in Los Angeles including the world-famous “Baked Potato”.

The Pandemic of 2020 changed the world as we know it and Dave relocated his family to Western New York where his wife’s family lives and he now calls Orchard Park his home. Since relocating to Buffalo from Sunny Southern California, Dave was able to quickly establish himself in the Western New York area music scene. He found some of Buffalo’s best players and re-tooled his original music project out here. He’s been excited and honored to be able to present his music to appreciative music fans at several jazz festivals in the summer of 2022. Currently working on his next music production, he looks forward to releasing a new CD (and stream) of brand-new music. Look ahead to 2023 and the West Coast Jazz of Dave Hill.
