The Music of David Sanborn & Marcus Miller

A night of music at Pausa Art House featuring one of the most prolific music duos in jazz history, David Sanborn & Marcus Miller! Both musicians have been featured on countless records as leaders and sidemen spanning the genres of jazz, pop, funk and fusion. But their work together on most of David’s landmark albums brought the duo to an even higher level of recognition with Sanborn’s signature sound and very often, Miller’s compositions. Marcus often served as engineer on David’s albums and even played some of the other instruments in addition to bass on them. They are as in demand as any musicians are within the jazz circuit. Performing their music is a band of some of Buffalo’s finest musicians in celebration of the duo’s great work together spanning music from four decades of recordings. Featured will be music from David’s albums: Voyeur, A Change Of Heart, Time And The River, Backstreet, Hideaway and Straight To The Heart.
