Thomas Marinaro Quartet

Friday, May 26 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

It’s hard to watch a gig that Thomas Marinaro is on and not recognize the love he has for performing and making music with his fellow bandmates.  He eats, thinks and dreams music and has a masters degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia where he was mentored by Bruce Johnstone. Tom has been tirelessly practicing and working on both the performing and educating sides of music and has been a music teacher for the past 11 years.

He currently teaches 4th grade instrumental music in Williamsville at Maple East Elementary, Country Parkway Elementary, and directs one of the Jazz Ensembles at Williamsville East High School. Tom has been found playing his sax in every corner of Buffalo, from the Central Terminal to the Northwest (Lewiston) Jazz festival to Pausa Art House and everywhere in between.

Tom has had the opportunity to back the legendary O’Jays, but his most notable work has been with, Mark Marinaccio and Friends, and the Thomas Marinaro Quartet.  The Thomas Marinaro Quartet plays a wide genre of jazz spanning from bebop to modal and funk tunes with everything in between.
