Walter Kemp 3: Modern Jazz & a Cuban Cookout

_____________
Walter Kemp 3 explores bold sonic landscapes where classical training, gospel roots, and modern jazz converge into a distinctive, forward-thinking voice. A Viscount-endorsed pianist and composer, he is acclaimed for inventive compositions that honor jazz tradition while pushing its boundaries.
An award-winning artist with international touring and recording credits, Kemp has collaborated with musicians from Sun Ra’s Arkestra, Dave Brubeck’s band, and Ahmad Jamal’s circle. Guest Chef: Geandy Pavón
Born and raised in Las Tunas, Cuba, Geandy Pavón learned to cook through family tradition, where recipes were passed from one generation to the next and every meal was an expression of hospitality. An avid home cook with a passion for authentic Cuban cuisine, Geandy brings the comforting flavors of his homeland to PAUSA for this special one-night-only dinner experience.
Best known internationally as a multidisciplinary artist, Geandy’s work has been exhibited at institutions including The Studio Museum in Harlem, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), and El Museo del Barrio. For one evening, however, he exchanges the artist’s studio for the kitchen, sharing another lifelong passion: bringing people together through the rich traditions and unmistakable flavors of Cuban cooking.
