“When Ravel Went To Harlem”: Krista Seddon begins her series “Impressionism In Jazz” at Central Park United Methodist Church this Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Starting in September 2019 and continuing through May of 2020, Krista will explore the dynamic cross-pollination among jazz and modern classical artists George Gershwin, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Duke Ellington, Marian McPartland, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, and others. The resulting combustion of sound and inspiration changed the world of music forever and reverberates to this day.
