Wordism and JFT

WORDISM: Jam Sessionz is the premier non-competitive open mic event for spoken word artists where each poet is accompanied by custom musical backdrops provided by a featured jazz band. This month’s band is JFT! Jerry Livingston – Bass, Carl “Flute” Johnson – Drums, Toney Rhodes – Piano. This event will be held in partnership with Buffalo Urban League’s Young Professionals. Inspired by Wordizm, created by poet and author Kendra Durand in the 90’s. WORDISM provides wordsmiths, lyricists, poets, and spoken word artists of all kinds, an outlet for unfettered expression.
