Youn Sun Nah

The first lady of South Korean jazz, Youn Sun Nah has a vocal range extending from the wildest screams to husky tenderness, a sumptuous instrument that nimbly handles a repertoire combining jazz, chanson and rock. Working on the fringe of jazz vocal convention, she’s been showered with acclaim in a young career that seems unstoppable. Awarded the Chevaliers of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2009 for her musical contributions in France, her most recent album is 2017’s “She Moves On.”
