Hotel Henry Jazz Concert Series
JazzBuffalo and Hotel Henry partnered in 2017 to open Buffalo’s newest cultural treasure to the community. Hundreds of people attended the first year of concerts and were able to experience the truly majestic renovation of the Richardson Towers into the Hotel Henry. The 2018 Hotel Henry Jazz Concert Series will present monthly concerts every second or third Wednesday of the month.
First Saturday Jazz Brunch At The Hollow Bistro And Brew
The popular Jazz Brunch, taking place every first Saturday of the month at the Clarence Hollow establishment, is in its fourth year. The Jazz Brunch Series features some of the finest jazz duo combinations in the area. Art Of Jazz Series
JazzBuffalo serves as a media sponsor for this prestigious series, now in its 19th year. Providing awareness and promotional support on behalf of the series. Tony Zambito of JazzBuffalo serves as Associate Producer, working closely with the series founder, Producer Bruce Eaton, to bring world-class jazz to Buffalo. The 2020 season is now held in the Mary Seaton Room at Kleinhans Music Hall while the Albright-Knox Art Gallery undergoes construction and expansion.

The festival, named after the legendary jazz artist, takes place every July on two separate Sundays. Dawn Berry Walker, Music Director for the festival brings national and local jazz to the outdoor festival held on the grounds of the Buffalo Science Museum.

The Historic Colored Musicians Club produces a festival held throughout Buffalo, inside the historic club, and outdoors. The festival, organized by Music Director, Walter Kemp, III and the Board of Directors brings national and local jazz performances to the festival for audiences to enjoy!
This festival memorializes the famous venue from yesteryears each year at Martin Luther King Park. Bringing together the community in remembrance with performances from national and local jazz musicians.

See pianist George Jones with bassist Wayne Moose and drummer John Bacon, Jr. at Oliver’s every Saturday beginning at 8:30 pm.
On select Mondays at 5 pm at Flying Bison Brewery, you can catch the Bobby Militello Quartet – check the brewery website for monthly appearance.
On the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month, you can check out the Buffalo Jazz Composers Workshop at Stamps in Tonawanda. The BJCW consists of Kelly Bucheger, alto & tenor saxophones, Tim Clarke, trumpet & flügelhorn, Alec Dube, vibes, Jared Tinkham, guitar, Joe Goehle, bass, John Bacon, drums
On the third Tuesday of every month at Shannon’s Pub, the River Dogs Dixieland Band performs beginning at 7 pm.
On various Wednesdays and Fridays, GiGi’s on Kenmore will have jazz. Check their schedules.
On the last Thursday of each month, the Tin Roof Jazz Band plays at the Polish Villa II. The band typically includes Willie Wilson (Banjo/Vocals), Jim Pace (Tuba), Pim Liebman (Trombone), Ivan Docenko (Piano), Phil Nyhuis (Trumpet/Flugelhorn – vocals) Joe Hochulski (Drums Set), and Richard Sowinski (Tenor Sax/Clarinet – vocals)
At various Wegman’s (Amherst, Sheridan, and Dick Road), you may find jazz on Fridays beginning at 6 pm. Check your local Wegman’s for bands.
On Saturdays beginning at 1 pm until 4 pm, you can find jazz for Beats and Brunch at Hot Mama Canteen. Check their schedule weekly.
On the first Sunday of every month, you can catch Jazz Cache’ at Nietzsche’s beginning at 9 pm
On the 3rd Saturday of every month at Sportsmen Tavern at 12 noon, Tim Clarke Soul-Tet will host a jazz jam
On the first and third Wednesday of every month, at Mason’s Grille in Hamburg at 7:30 pm, you can catch the Frank Gerard Group with vocalist Cheryl Ferris.
On the last Wednesday of every month, the Gypsy Parlor Jazz Jam takes place at the Gypsy Parlor at 8:30 pm
A reminder that the Joe Baudo Big Band performs every Tuesday at the Sportsmen Tavern from 12 pm to 2 pm. And, the Joe Baudo Organ-based group performs on Wednesday between 12 pm and 2 pm.
Don’t forget the Historic Colored Musicians Club has open rehearsals on Mondays with George Scott Big Band and on Thursdays with the Carol McLaughlin Big Band. Sundays typically have a performance at 6 pm followed by a jazz jam at 7 pm.
